Lonely Planet name Kent as top region to visit

Kent was named the fourth of the world’s top ten regions to experience in the Lonely Planet’s Best in Travel 2022.

Kent’s Heritage Coast, part of the North Downs AONB (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) also won recognition for its commitment to sustainable tourism.

Lonely Planet’s Best in Travel 2022, which is published online and in print, cites Kent’s long stretches of beautiful, iconic white cliffs and idyllic countryside bordering it as reasons to believe the region will achieve its goal of gaining Unesco World Heritage site status.
