The type of information we collect
Most importantly, please be reassured your information will be securely stored and never be sold on to third parties.
We collect and process personal information such as the name and contact details of anyone booking onto or asking for information about any of our holidays, or anyone who has said they are interested in receiving more general information from us about our holidays, such as the newsletter and occasional emails. If you let us know of any particular areas of interest, other requirements or details we will also keep a record of that information.
How we get your personal information and why we have it
This is information you provide to us directly because you are booking or seeking information about one or more of our holidays; or because you are expressing interest more generally in the holidays we offer – for example subscribing to our newsletter or marketing emails, from which you can unsubscribe at any time.
If you contact us to explore or to book a holiday, we use the information you have given us to respond to any questions you raise and to provide and communicate with you about any service you have booked with Hope Walking. We will ask you for feedback – and respond as appropriate - after any holiday you take with us.
If you give appropriate consent, we will also use the information to send you our newsletter and occasional emails about new dates and walks, for example. Our newsletter provider is Mailchimp who have their own privacy policy which is GDPR compliant.
We may include quotes on our website from the feedback we receive from participants in our holidays. Please tell us if you do not wish such quotes to be attributed or if you wish to revoke permission at any time.

What we do with the information and how we store it
Your information is kept in password-protected computer spreadsheets to support the booking and running of any holiday you choose to take with us, and in collated form for our records, and for agreed marketing purposes.
Your name, phone number and the relevant holiday are usually stored on our phone for the period we are actively arranging and providing a holiday to you. We often send photographs of the walk afterwards with your permission and may contact you about other walks this way individually in future. We will delete your details at any time if you let us know you prefer not to be contacted in this way.
Client records will be deleted periodically when we conduct a data review. Your information will never be sold on to third parties.
